With winter fast approaching here in Australia, I’ve been finding it more and more difficult to peel myself from my soft, Cultiver linen sheets. It’s just so much more cosy to snuggle in bed than to step foot in the cold world outside the bed.
With hibernation and the desire for warmth on my mind as of late, I have naturally been fixated on homely yet light + airy sleeping spaces. With winter bringing early darkness and long nights, I find myself inspired by bedrooms filled with the brilliance of the sun’s light, as well as contrasting the lightness with moody linen tones. The combination of light, minimalism, spaciousness and soft linen creates such a safe haven, while also encouraging to begin each day afresh.
These are a collection of beautiful spaces I came across on Pinterest, my favourite source of interior inspiration.
I’d love to know, what do you like to do to make your bedroom both cosy yet bright?
Amid a palette of neutral grey, white, black and wood, I think a copper accent can bring a bit of zest into a minimalist styled home. And it pairs brilliantly with luscious green plants, oh my! Contrasted against primarily matte colours and spaces, copper’s reflective finish manages to really a room to life.
In true Christmas spirit, I have found myself creating a wish list made up of beauteous home, lifestyle and beauty items, which I have been coveting for eons. Fingers crossed my boyfriend is reading (though I doubt he is; I may resort to flagrantly sending him a link to this post).
Here are the things I am lusting after:
1. Kubus Copper Bowl by Mogens Lassen, 2. Diptyque Eucalyptus scented candle, 3. Celine (jks, I won’t bother linking this), 4. Kikki K pencil case, 5. Peonies, 6. Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm, 7. Kikki K 365 Journal, 8. Jo Malone Wood Sage + Sea Salt cologne, 9. Eames DSW chair (sigh)
